[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The National Library of Korea will hold the '2022 OAK (Open Access Korea, hereafter OAK) Repository Distribution Agreement Ceremony' at 2 p.m. on the 8th. The agreement parties are Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology, Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital, Korea Youth Policy Institute, and Academy of Korean Studies.
OAK is a shared archive that allows each institution to register and manage research outputs. Since 2014, the National Library of Korea has provided approximately 930,000 academic information items to universities, research institutes, and public institutions.
This agreement focuses on ▲building the latest OAK repository ▲linking performance management systems within distribution institutions with institutional repositories ▲one year of free maintenance ▲support for operator training.
A National Library of Korea official stated, “To promote the spread of open access domestically in the future, we will gradually support implementation plans such as establishing policies for existing repositories and continuously build cooperative systems with research institutions.”
