Sacheon City Facilities Management Corporation Wins 'Korea Innovative Person Brand' Award This Year Award ceremony of the innovative brand.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sacheon City Facilities Management Corporation in Gyeongnam received the Grand Prize in the public institution category at the ‘2022 Korea Innovative Institution Brand’ hosted by Herald.

Herald annually evaluates and reviews the competitiveness of excellent and promising companies (institutions, individuals, brands) in Korea, providing consumers with proper standards, and selects and awards individuals, companies, and institutions that deliver satisfaction and inspiration to customers based on outstanding competitiveness in various fields of society.

This year, Sacheon City Facilities Management Corporation, which won the grand prize in the innovative management corporation category, has actively led environmental protection activities and regional development based on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) management, enhancing the marine tourism industry and citizens’ quality of life, fulfilling its role as a representative local public enterprise in Sacheon, Gyeongnam.

Regarding autonomous innovation, it received high marks for introducing the ‘Teleservice’ of Sacheon Sea Cable Car to prevent potential disaster accidents and the AI-based 24-hour customer response service ‘Chatbot’.

‘Teleservice’ is a hotline with the overseas cable car manufacturer prepared for emergency situations, a system that enables immediate response to safety issues such as human life and property damage 24 hours a day through programmed remote access.

As a result, if an emergency occurs around 3 p.m., despite it being 10 p.m. local time in France, rapid hotline connection and active problem resolution become possible.

Additionally, the ‘Chatbot’ is a new AI-based system accessible to anyone anytime and anywhere, recognized for its value in eliminating information barriers for vulnerable groups with difficulties in conversational counseling services (such as language and hearing-impaired customers).

Park Tae-jung, Director of Sacheon City Facilities Management Corporation, said, “In the post-COVID era, innovation that introduces, develops, and commercializes new ideas is essential for institutions to avoid obsolescence and continue to develop,” adding, “We will continue to discover new innovations to provide the best services that satisfy regional development, customers, and citizens.”
