[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Regional Human Resources Development Committee and the Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency recently announced on the 3rd that they held a meeting for benchmarking the operation of digital industry training institutions and training courses among personnel training project managers.
The meeting was organized to visit the facilities of the Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency, which operates a specialized joint training center for the digital industry, and to share operational plans in order to benchmark new training projects for new technologies and new industries in the Gwangju region.
Through this meeting, they shared ways to develop digital-related industries and cultivate excellent personnel in regions outside the metropolitan area, and the Gwangju Regional Human Resources Development Committee also considered expanding digital industry training courses.
Since 2014, the Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency has conducted training for over 4,000 people through regional industry-customized personnel training projects, including the 'SW Developer Training Course,' and has produced various digital industry personnel through other K-Digital projects and personnel training projects supported by Daegu Metropolitan City.
The Gwangju Regional Human Resources Development Committee also shared its achievements as an excellent human resources committee that has received an A grade in performance evaluation for five consecutive years and provided the status of various personnel training projects in the Gwangju region.
Through this meeting, they agreed to cooperate on tasks such as ▲ analysis of digital industry personnel and training status in the Daegu region and investigation of personnel and training supply and demand in the Gwangju region, including work cooperation and information sharing ▲ proposal and joint development of job competency improvement models related to regional and industry-customized personnel training ▲ joint research on standardization plans for digital industry technology and level-based training courses.
Through this, the two organizations agreed to strive for revitalization of projects in both regions and realization of a competency-centered society by sharing personnel training projects and various other projects jointly carried out.
Kim Yoo-hyun, director of the Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency, said, “Gwangju Metropolitan City and Daegu Metropolitan City have shared various projects as part of the Moonlight Alliance since the past, and through sharing digital industry personnel training plans at this meeting, we expect the development of more specialized digital personnel training projects in the Gwangju region.”
Kim Eun-hee, general team leader of the Gwangju Regional Human Resources Development Committee, stated, “We expect a synergy effect in the development of personnel training projects in both regions by mutually sharing various training courses conducted in the Gwangju region.”
