[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] AI startup Ryan Rocket announced on the 18th that the number of subscribers to its AI-based content creation platform OnAir Studio increased more than fivefold in the January-May period compared to the same period last year.
Founded in 2019, Ryan Rocket is an IT company possessing core technologies in AI virtual humans as well as voice and video synthesis. Recognized for its technological capabilities and corporate vision, Ryan Rocket secured 6.5 billion KRW in Series A funding. Five companies participated in the investment, including existing investor T-Investment, ID Ventures, Daesung Startup Investment, Harang Technology Investment, and IBK Industrial Bank of Korea.
Ryan Rocket operates the OnAir Studio service, which allows anyone to easily create their own content. Using OnAir Studio, users can create video content conveniently without complex video production programs, as AI completes dubbing, subtitles, and video production all at once with simple operations such as text input.
One of the strengths is the ability to adopt various AI models. Users can utilize nine AI characters based on age, gender, and situational concepts, as well as 34 AI voices. The company explains that virtual characters with diverse faces representing non-existent people can be created without portrait rights issues, allowing users to produce desired content with simple settings.
The number of projects created through OnAir Studio increased more than fourfold during the same period. Accordingly, Ryan Rocket’s revenue also grew rapidly, showing a more than tenfold increase compared to the same period last year.
Seunghwan Jeong, CEO of Ryan Rocket, stated, "We are focusing on advanced research and development to provide a new level of enjoyment and immersion in the AI media synthesis market," adding, "Ryan Rocket will present an unprecedented new paradigm in the AI virtual human content market."
