[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] Han Dong-hoon, Minister of Justice, visited the joint memorial altar for the victims of the law office arson disaster and stated, "This incident is an anti-civilized terror that undermines the rule of law."

On the afternoon of the 10th, Minister Han, at the funeral hall of Kyungpook National University Hospital where the joint memorial altar was set up, said, "As the Minister of Justice responsible for legal administration, I feel great shock and deep sorrow."

He added, "I cannot even imagine how much pain the victims and their families must be feeling," and "As the Minister of Justice, I will do my best to ensure that the truth of the incident is clearly revealed and that support for the victims is promptly provided."

On the same day, the Daegu Bar Association set up a joint memorial altar at the funeral hall of Kyungpook National University Hospital. Lee Seok-hwa, President of the Daegu Bar Association, said, "We lost six precious lives yesterday," and added, "We will not allow this tragedy to be treated merely as a ruthless arson crime by a reckless individual."

The president emphasized, "We will definitely achieve institutional improvements so that those working in law offices can safely focus on their work and ensure that there are no more tragic sacrifices," and added, "Malicious obstruction of legitimate work activities as lawyers is a challenge to social justice and must never be tolerated in a society governed by the rule of law."

The day before, an arson incident occurred at a lawyer's office located in Beomeo-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu, resulting in 7 deaths and 46 injuries. Among them, two men, a lawyer and an office manager, were found to have wounds that appeared to be stab injuries (injuries caused by sharp objects).

The funeral service is scheduled to be held on the morning of the 12th.
