Green Fish Farm Collaborates with Amino Lab on Large-Scale Feeding Test for Eel Farming

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Greenfishfarm (CEO Lee Seonghwa), a subsidiary of Greenplus (CEO Park Younghwan), the leading company in advanced smart farms, announced on the 30th that it signed a business agreement with Aminolab (CEOs Park Haesung and Ki Jungwook), a specialized animal blood resource company, for a feeding test of eel farming using amino acid feed.

According to this agreement, Greenfishfarm plans to verify the effect of eel farming at the Dangjin eel farm by receiving the amino acid feed additive "Aminoparm" developed by Aminolab.

Aminoparm is Korea's first high-functional amino acid special feed made by enzymatically decomposing animal fresh blood, sterilizing it, and powdering it. Due to its high immune components unique to amino acids and various natural mineral components, it has been proven through numerous field tests at flatfish farms, poultry farms, and pig farms to reduce mortality rates and improve growth rates by enhancing immunity, thus being welcomed by aquaculture farmers and livestock farmers.

A Greenfishfarm company official said, "Eels are a high-end fish species with demanding growth environments, and feeding tests based on advanced farming systems are conducted very strictly, so this is an official field test to verify the effect." He added, "For the first time in Korea, we will directly feed the amino acid feed additive to eel farming, closely monitor the immune enhancement and growth rate increase effects of the eels, and determine whether to apply the feed additive to eel farming in the future."

Additionally, Park Haesung, CEO of Aminolab, said, "We are pleased to be able to test the efficacy of Aminoparm at Korea's largest eel farm," and added, "We will focus on providing the best product supply and management to ensure the successful progress of Greenfishfarm's eel farming raised with this amino acid special feed."

In fact, Greenfishfarm's Dangjin eel farm is Korea's largest smart eel farming complex, covering 5,000 pyeong (approximately 16,528 square meters) and equipped with 224 ultra-large farming tanks. Each tank can farm 12,000 eels, enabling an annual total production of 2.7 million eels, and it maintains stable eel farming through an optimal growth environment system.

Applying the advanced greenhouse technology of its parent company Greenplus, the farm maintains a constant water temperature, boasting high profitability. It is equipped with automatic sorting by eel size, a circulating filtration system that minimizes environmental pollution, and a central control system that monitors eel growth management in real time, making it recognized as the standard for eel farming in Korea.

Lee Seonghwa, CEO of Greenfishfarm, stated, "Eels are a health food enjoyed by people of all ages and genders in both the East and West. Due to the increase in dining-out demand following the COVID-19 endemic and the summer peak season, demand has surged." He added, "Through this feeding test, we will complete a large-scale efficacy trial to stabilize eel farming and maximize profitability by ensuring that eels raised with Korea's first amino acid special feed are healthy and delicious food loved by consumers."

Meanwhile, Aminolab is a small but strong company specializing in blood resource utilization, having obtained Korea's New Technology (NET) certification for its enzyme decomposition technology using animal blood to develop immune-enhancing amino acid feed additives and resource recycling facilities. Recently, through a mass production base for blood resource recycling completed in Sejong City, it is localizing high-cost protein feed that was entirely dependent on imports and achieving import substitution.
