[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will distribute the '2022 Gyeonggi Province Welfare Services' guidebook both online and offline to eliminate blind spots in welfare information and promote customized welfare policies for vulnerable and disconnected groups.
This guidebook neatly organizes 170 welfare projects by Gyeonggi Province and 627 welfare projects by cities and counties, allowing residents to easily find the welfare information they need by life cycle, theme, and region at a glance.
First, for expectant mothers preparing for pregnancy and childbirth, the 'From Pregnancy to Childbirth' section includes related policies such as support for pregnancy and childbirth medical expenses, childbirth incentive payments, and postpartum care expenses.
Additionally, under the 'Seniors (aged 65 and over)' section, various information on welfare projects for the elderly is provided, including basic pension support, dementia treatment and management support, and senior job and social activity support.
Furthermore, information on projects for persons with disabilities and their families is clearly explained, including disability pensions, disability allowances, operation of customized helpers for the disabled, and group informatization education for persons with disabilities.
The province also included the responsible departments and contact information for each project so that residents can inquire directly with the relevant department if they want to learn more about specific projects.
The province will distribute 400,000 copies of the guidebook through cities and counties starting from the 24th. It will also be posted on the Gyeonggi Province website (gg.go.kr).
A provincial official explained, "As welfare projects diversify and welfare information increases, blind spots in welfare information have emerged. Accordingly, we created this year's Gyeonggi Province Welfare Services guidebook."
