Incheon Namdong-gu, Temporary Legalization of Illegal Outdoor Advertisements 추진

Incheon Namdong-gu, Temporary Legalization of Illegal Outdoor Advertisements 추진 Incheon Namdong-gu Office

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Namdong-gu, Incheon announced on the 17th that it will promote a temporary legalization project for illegal signs to efficiently manage outdoor advertisements.

This project involves legalizing signs that were illegally installed without permission or notification by allowing business owners to voluntarily report them and then process post-approval and notification.

The aim is to manage indiscriminately installed illegal signs to create a safe and clean urban landscape, with the voluntary reporting period lasting until September 30.

The targets are fixed outdoor advertisements installed without permission or notification according to relevant laws, or wall-mounted, protruding, pole-mounted signs, rooftop signs, etc., whose existing permission or notification periods have expired but were not extended.

The district plans to register illegal signs that apply for permission or notification during the voluntary reporting period as lawful advertisements after safety inspections and post-approval or notification processing.

On the other hand, illegal fixed advertisements that do not apply for permission or notification or do not voluntarily remove themselves during the legalization period will face strong administrative measures.

Lee Kang-ho, Mayor of Namdong-gu, stated, "We will focus on establishing systematic management and a proper advertising culture through the integration of advertisements into the regulatory system, and on creating a clean and beautiful urban environment."
