Strong Response from Local Residents, Accelerating Customized Life Safety Service Provision

[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon Fire Station (Chief Ha Soo-cheol) 119 Life Safety Patrol Team (hereinafter referred to as the Patrol Team) announced on the 6th that they visited the homes of elderly people living alone in Gusaeng Village, Seomyeon, ahead of Parents' Day to provide customized life safety services.
From the 2nd for three days, the Patrol Team visited 11 households of elderly people living alone in Gusaeng Village and addressed daily inconveniences by ▲distributing fire extinguishers ▲installing standalone detectors, safety handles, and gas safety shut-off devices ▲inspecting gas, electrical, and fire facilities and providing guidance on safe usage.
Kim (female, 87), an elderly resident of Gusaeng Village, said, "Where do such good people come from to help me like this? I am very, very grateful. It feels as if my deceased son came to check and inspect the house," expressing her gratitude by saying, "Thank you and I am very thankful."
Since its operation began in August last year, the Suncheon Fire Station 119 Life Safety Patrol Team has visited 688 households and provided 13,212 fire safety services to 911 beneficiaries, receiving great responses from residents.
Ha Soo-cheol, Chief of Suncheon Fire Station, stated, "We will do our best to additionally introduce various projects to the 119 Life Safety Patrol Team in the future, carefully identify the inconveniences of elderly people in each household, and provide customized life safety services."
