Teaser Video Released... Announcement on YouTube on May 11
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Japanese company Sony will unveil its new Xperia smartphone line on the 11th of next month at 4 PM (local time) via YouTube.
On the 27th (local time), Sony released a teaser video titled "Are You Ready For The NEXT ONE?" featuring past Xperia smartphone models. No clues about the new product were included.
The market is strongly anticipating the new product to be the "Xperia 1 IV." However, the possibility of unveiling the "Xperia 5 IV" or "Xperia 10 IV" cannot be ruled out.
According to IT tipster Steve Hammerstoper (@Onleaks), the exterior of the Xperia 1 IV is expected to resemble last year's "Xperia 1 III" but with a flatter side design. Detailed specifications include a 6.5-inch display, quad cameras, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 16GB RAM, up to 512GB storage, and a 5000mAh battery. It also supports 45W charging.
