Prenatal Education, Youth, and Health: Customized Municipal Art Troupe Performances for Citizen Happiness and Empathy
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The daily recovery project is becoming active in cultural and artistic events in the Ulsan area.
The Ulsan Culture and Arts Center plans to continuously promote various cultural events with a healing theme from May to the end of the year, allowing people to enjoy everyday cultural and artistic experiences as they recover from COVID-19.
This cultural and artistic event is composed of cultural and artistic events such as ‘Citizen Happiness Empathy Customized Performances’ and ‘Daily Recovery Celebration Performances, Exhibitions, and Education’ to wish for the rapid daily recovery of citizens tired from social distancing for over two years.
Customized performances tailored to citizens' perspectives will be promoted, including the ‘Prenatal Music Concert (August)’ where artists visit directly, the ‘1st Anniversary Celebration Concert for Ulsan New Residents (September)’, the ‘7080 Youth Welcome Concert (September)’, and the ‘Citizen Health Gymnastics Class (Regular)’.
Additionally, to revitalize community contribution activities, the ‘Music Education Project for Culturally Marginalized Groups (July)’ will be conducted by directly visiting welfare centers and children’s centers.
For daily recovery celebration performances and exhibitions, planned performances such as the ‘Healing Concert Duran (May 4)’, ‘Jang Sa-ik and Go Young-yeol’s Kkun (June 25)’, and ‘Popera Tenor Lim Hyung-joo Concert (June 26)’ will be held consecutively.
The children’s art education program ‘Let’s Go! Into the Painting’ will also be conducted in connection with the Special Exhibition of Korean Artists Who Could Not Fully Bloom (May), providing experiential education suited to children’s sensibilities.
To provide healing and rest to citizens, a special lecture by a notable figure combining humanities and music, ‘Outdoor Healing Humanities (June)’, will be presented over three days at the outdoor fountain stage in the Central Plaza.
An official from the Ulsan Culture and Arts Center said, “We hope that various cultural events for daily recovery will satisfy the cultural desires that have been suppressed due to social distancing.”
