[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, has launched a large-scale safety inspection of bicycle paths to welcome the spring season.

The inspection covers 12 bicycle path routes, totaling 75.84 km, including 11.8 km of the National Bicycle Route.

The detailed inspection items include seven areas: pavement, drainage facilities, structures, traffic safety facilities, lighting fixtures, and convenience facilities.

Hapcheon-gun formed an inspection team including private participants such as bicycle clubs to conduct self-inspections and shared the safety inspection plan with related departments such as roads, rivers, and parks.

During the on-site inspection, aging and damage were found on the bicycle path guide signs within Sinsoyang Sports Park in the Hapcheoncheon section (Yeongchang 2 Bridge to Geumyang Bridge), and measures are planned.

Hapcheon-gun regularly conducts bicycle path safety inspections every spring and autumn to reduce inconveniences for bicycle users.
