Year-Round Events to Minimize Impact of Soaring Living Costs and Ease Household Burdens

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Homeplus announced on the 14th that it will strengthen its 'Price Stabilization Project' by offering up to 50% discounts on major products for My Homeplus membership customers. Representative products with high demand at large marts, such as fresh food and daily necessities, will be sold in this manner.
In March, consumer prices rose by 4.1% compared to the same period last year. This high inflation situation is expected to continue due to domestic and international factors. Homeplus emphasized, "We are working hard to reduce the burden on consumers' shopping baskets by carrying out the Price Stabilization Project throughout the year."
Homeplus explained that during the 25th anniversary event last month, the average sales proportion of My Homeplus membership customers reached about 83%, leading to an expansion of 'Member Special Price' products and further enhancement of actual customer benefits.
As an event for My Homeplus membership customers, on the 16th, all U.S. chilled beef products will be discounted by up to 50% for one day. Nonghyup Ansim Hanwoo soup cuts and bulgogi, domestic grade 1 or higher Ilpum Pork front leg, hind leg, ribs, spare ribs, loin, smoked pork belly and neck slice will also be offered at a 40% discount.
Apples will also be offered at membership discount prices. Miryang Eoreumgol apples and Gyeongbuk Daily apples will be discounted by 50%, and CA apples, which feature a crisp texture using storage techniques that control oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, will be discounted by 2,000 won.
Green onions, sashimi-grade and grilling salmon (100g), and Harim antibiotic-free chicken for braised chicken stew (900g) will be offered at a 20% discount for My Homeplus membership customers. Icheon Alchanmi rice (10kg) will be discounted by 15,000 won. Wando abalone will also be sold at a 50% discount.
Major daily necessities will also be discounted by 50% for My Homeplus membership customers. Included are 'Clean Country Thick Deco Toilet Paper,' 'LG Household & Health Care Tech Mite Removal Liquid Detergent Container,' and 'Doruko My Chef Basic H Frying Pan and Wok 28cm.'
Jo Doyeon, head of the Homeplus Brand Division, said, "We decided to sell major products with high customer demand at discounted prices to minimize the impact of soaring living costs and help ease household burdens," adding, "We will continue to carry out the 'Price Stabilization Project' throughout this year."
