Kim Gyeongja, Hampyeong County Governor Preliminary Candidate, Proposes 10 Major Pledges Including '100,000 Won Payment to All Residents'


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Kim Kyungja, a preliminary candidate for Hampyeong County Governor in Jeonnam from the Democratic Party of Korea, announced on the 7th that she successfully held the opening ceremony of her election office with the slogan "Closer, Lower Posture, More Active," attended by about 700 Hampyeong residents.


At the opening ceremony, former Democratic Party leader Song Younggil, former floor leader Woo Wonshik, and Gwangju Medical Association President Yang Dongwon appeared via video, followed by congratulatory remarks from Kim Kyungsu, former dean of the Graduate School of Business Administration at Chonnam National University. Many local supporters attended, delivering congratulatory wreaths and messages of support.


In her opening remarks, candidate Kim Kyungja said, "While serving as a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Assembly, I was moved to tears by mothers struggling with childcare and education, empty downtown areas with shops without customers, and farmers who work hard but do not receive fair compensation." She expressed her aspiration, saying, "I will make Hampyeong a prosperous, proud, and happy place for all residents."


As campaign pledges for Hampyeong's development, candidate Kim promised ▲ payment of 1 million won to all residents ▲ fostering smart agriculture ▲ attracting school-age population ▲ promoting the Asset Literature District ▲ establishing a general hospital ▲ introducing 1,000 won taxis ▲ constructing a new city as a hinterland for the national industrial complex ▲ creating a Hanwoo (Korean beef) street ▲ developing a stay-type tourist destination ▲ and realizing transparent politics.


Candidate Kim emphasized, "Hampyeong County needs a governor with drive and competence," adding, "There are many local issues ahead, such as the development of the Sapo Tourism Complex and the Fishing Village New Deal 300 project. Please trust and join me, Kim Kyungja, the 'Daughter of Hampyeong.'"


Kim Kyungja previously served as the chairperson of the 11th Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Youth Development Special Committee and vice-chairperson of the Planning and Administration Committee.


During her tenure, she was praised for active legislative activities aimed at solving educational issues in Jeonnam, including leading the proposal of ordinances such as the 'Jeonnam Talent Development Institute Resident Education Ordinance' and the 'Jeonnam Office of Education Suffrage Education Activation Ordinance.'
