Utilized in Technology Feasibility Assessment... Expected to Ensure Objectivity, Efficiency, and Promptness of Evaluation
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 3rd that they have completed the development of an 'AI Supporter' based on big data and will officially introduce it into the evaluation system for SME policy fund support.
Unlike the existing financial sector evaluations focused on creditworthiness, the AI Supporter is designed to assess a company's future growth potential based on corporate activity data such as employment changes, wage levels, patents, and certifications.
An official from the ESG Diagnostic Technology Department, which developed the AI Supporter, explained, "We developed the system by training it with the accumulated know-how from supporting SMEs over the past 25 years and with internal and external data totaling 5.4 million pieces." He added, "Starting in April, we plan to actively introduce and utilize it for technical business feasibility evaluations for policy fund support."
With the introduction of the AI Supporter, it is expected that evaluations will be more objective and fair, helping to discover outstanding companies. Additionally, efficient evaluation processes are anticipated to enable prompt funding support for SMEs and startups.
Chairman Kim Hak-do stated, "The AI Supporter will provide objective information based on data, allowing evaluators to understand corporate performance from various perspectives." He added, "We will continuously advance the evaluation system by leveraging the strengths of both people and technology and take the lead in discovering promising growth companies and supporting innovative growth."
