[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The National Health Insurance Service Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters held a social contribution fund delivery ceremony at the Busan Dong-gu Regional Self-Sufficiency Center on the 31st to revitalize local self-sufficiency projects.
The delivered fund of 50 million KRW is planned to be used for the "Support Lunchbox Delivered by Geonigangi" project and training for self-sufficiency workers.
This project involves 61 self-sufficiency workers preparing lunchboxes to provide to homeless people and residents of jjokbangchon (small room villages).
Since 2018, the NHIS has been striving to support the local community by providing non-face-to-face educational equipment, purchasing products from self-sufficiency project groups in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam areas, and other efforts to revitalize self-sufficiency projects.
Jang Su-mok, the head of the regional headquarters, said, "We will take the lead in realizing the social value of public institutions by discovering social contribution ideas that provide practical help to the local community, offering continuous and diverse opportunities beyond simple fund donations to neighbors in need."
