The Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) has established the KH-IHQ Kanbae Women's Open.
On the 16th, a signing ceremony for the tournament was held at the KLPGA office in Gangnam, Seoul. The event will take place over four days starting October 20 at the Alpensia Golf Course in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province. The total prize money is 1.5 billion KRW, the highest amount of the season. It is expected to be a variable factor in the intense title competition that will unfold in the final stages. IHQ is the top comprehensive entertainment company in Korea affiliated with the KH Group. It operates businesses including management, dramas, variety shows, music albums, OTT platforms, and broadcasting channels.
Park Jong-jin, the general manager, said, "We will thoroughly prepare the tournament so that KLPGA Tour players with high skill levels can show their best performance," adding, "We will create a wonderful event that will refresh the hearts of the public, which have been stifled due to COVID-19." The KLPGA Tour has grown into a richer and larger-scale festival. This year, the total prize money has expanded to 30.9 billion KRW, promising a hotter shot competition than ever before.
