Selected as an Outstanding Local Government in the Comprehensive Evaluation Report on the Implementation Performance of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Innovation City Comprehensive Development Plan
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 15th that it was selected as the only excellent local government for three consecutive years in the ‘2021 Innovation City Comprehensive Development Plan Implementation Performance Comprehensive Evaluation’ conducted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The Innovation City Comprehensive Development Plan Implementation Evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Land is a system that annually evaluates the implementation performance of major tasks included in the Innovation City Comprehensive Development Plan, based on Article 5-2, Paragraph 8 of the ‘Innovation City Act.’
As a result of the evaluation, Jeonbuk Province received high marks not only for establishing a customized plan that maximizes effectiveness by linking the Jeonbuk Innovation City development plan with regional characteristics but also for executing the plan.
In addition, as a result of frequent collaboration centered on the cooperative system built together with the institutions relocated to Jeonbuk Innovation City to implement the tasks included in the comprehensive development plan and discover excellent cases, two projects were selected as excellent projects (cases) in specialized development, win-win development, and residential conditions.
According to this evaluation result, Jeonbuk Province will receive an institutional commendation (Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport) and individual commendations for public officials, and Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, the only public institution selected as an excellent case, will be awarded a commendation from the Chairman of the National Balanced Development Committee.
