[Asia Economy Reporter Tae-min Ryu] KCC Construction announced on the 31st that it has completed the renovation project for aging security offices (Lighthouse Project), conducted as part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

The Lighthouse Project is a project by KCC Construction to renovate about 40 aging security offices in apartment complexes nationwide free of charge. Starting in June with Geumgang Imae Village Apartments in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, over 40 security offices across the country were repaired over six months. Each security office underwent comprehensive remodeling, including ▲ interior and exterior repairs ▲ replacement of furniture such as desks and chairs ▲ installation of air conditioners, instant water heaters, and refrigerators.

During this process, the actual prior opinions of security workers were heard and actively reflected in the improvements to increase satisfaction.

A KCC Construction representative stated, “This Lighthouse Project can be considered a result that residents, security guards, and workers involved in the construction all empathized with its purpose and meaning. From the planning stage, we focused on providing practical help for the security guards, and to this end, we conducted on-site inspections nationwide to focus on providing the working environment that security guards need.”

A representative of the KCC Construction Lighthouse Project said, “While contemplating the essential meaning and value beyond the physical appearance and beauty of a home, we carried out this project as a small token of gratitude for the security offices that have been by our side for a long time. We hope this serves as an opportunity to think once about security offices and security guards, and it would be even better if it becomes a catalyst to share small but positive influences in the world.”
