[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, strongly criticized President Moon Jae-in and Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea.
On the 29th, at the launch ceremony of the People Power Party Gyeongbuk Provincial Election Countermeasures Committee held at the Korea National Institute of Korean Studies in Andong, Gyeongbuk, Candidate Yoon sharply criticized the Moon Jae-in administration and Candidate Lee for about 20 minutes.
Regarding the Moon Jae-in administration, Candidate Yoon said, "Authoritarian dictatorship governments clearly revived the national economy and laid the foundation for our country's industrialization, but what did this government do?" He continued, "It is truly a ridiculous regime that simultaneously commits incompetence and illegality," adding, "When experts come in, it interferes with their own interests, so they bring in ignorant third-rate fools to do politics, ruining the country's economy, diplomacy, and security."
Candidate Yoon also directed remarks at Candidate Lee. He said, "If you are confident, why do you refuse the Daejang-dong special prosecutor? It's because you committed a crime, so you refuse," and criticized, "You can't do it because if the truth is revealed, you will go to prison."
Furthermore, Candidate Yoon said, "Candidate Lee asked me to debate. Am I a fool?" He added, "He says we must debate because the public has the right to know, but if you talk about the public's right to know, you must first reveal the truth about the Daejang-dong and Baekhyeon-dong suspicions and the shady organized crime gang suspicions and brutal crime stories that slander the presidential candidates."
He then added, "Should we debate with such a person in front of the public? It's absurd. Really ridiculous."
Finally, Candidate Yoon appealed for support, saying, "This election is not a fight between conservatives and progressives. It is a fight between justice, which is liberal democracy, and injustice, which is corruption, and a judgment by the people. Let's win with overwhelming support, change the regime, revive people's livelihoods, restore the broken laws and common sense of this country, and hand over a proper future to our children."
