Founded in 2017, Aigert Energy is a specialized company in lithium batteries and ESS that manufactures and packages industrial lithium batteries for telecommunications, backup, and other uses. It counts major domestic telecom companies and Korea Electric Power Corporation as its clients.
Aigert Energy possesses a full range of small, medium, and large batteries for 5G telecommunications. It also uniquely holds BMS design technology capable of AI and IoT integration among related industry products.
BMS (Battery Management System) is a circuit that cuts off current when abnormal current is detected in the product and manages the voltage and temperature of individual cells to prevent them from exceeding normal ranges.
Due to the nature of lithium batteries, managing heat and shock is crucial to maintaining consistent performance and preventing fires. Vice President Cha Hobyeong of Aigert Energy explained, “As the secondary battery market blooms and sorting of quality begins, market demands already require guaranteeing both quality and safety,” adding, “We secure battery cell stability through strict raw material selection criteria, and maintain top quality through design based on AI algorithm thermal analysis and seismic simulation.”
One of Aigert Energy’s core BMS technologies, the ‘AI SOC Calculation Algorithm Technology,’ enables more accurate basic value calculation compared to other companies’ products where SOC (state of charge) calculation is difficult, helping efficient system operation. The ‘CC-CV Control Safe Charging Technology’ is equipped with AI algorithms that adjust conditions according to temperature or SOC status, improving product stability and lifespan.
Vice President Cha said, “We have enhanced battery performance and efficiency not only through simple battery manufacturing but also by developing differentiated systems.” In addition to the two aforementioned technologies, the company’s core BMS technologies include ‘Individual Sensing and Cell-Balancing Safe Charging Technology,’ ‘Current Monitoring and FET Switching Technology,’ ‘AI Algorithm Cell Management and CAN IT Communication Technology,’ and ‘AI·IoT Real-Time Interlocking System.’
The company expects continuous benefits in the related market due to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s strengthened ESS standards. Aigert Energy is developing additional functions to replace customers’ existing lead-acid batteries with lithium batteries in accordance with renewable energy policies.
Regarding future plans, Vice President Cha stated, “To leap into a global company, we are also focusing on new businesses such as automotive lighting using optical fibers, road signs, and solar power plants.”
