Dong-Eui University Wins Both Men's and Women's Titles at the 1st Busan Association President's Cup Kabaddi Tournament

Dong-Eui University won both the men's and women's divisions at the 1st Busan Association President's Cup Kabaddi Tournament.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dong-Eui University won first place in both the men's and women's divisions at the 1st Busan Kabaddi Association President's Cup Championship.

The men's kabaddi tournament featured Dong-Eui University, Busan National University, Youngsan University, Namseoul University, and Keimyung Culture University competing in a knockout format.

Dong-Eui University defeated Youngsan University 93-22 in the first match, then beat Namseoul University 79-36 in the second match, and finally overcame Busan National University 44-22 in the finals to claim the championship.

In the women's division, Dong-Eui University, Youngsan University, Namseoul University, and Keimyung Culture University participated. Dong-Eui University defeated Youngsan University 81-13 and Namseoul University 61-35 to win the championship, securing victories in both men's and women's divisions in the inaugural tournament.

Jung Soo-min, captain of the men's team, said, "I am proud to continue the legacy built by our seniors by winning both the men's and women's titles at this tournament."

The Most Valuable Player awards went to Byun Min-su of Dong-Eui University in the men's division and Park Min-kyung of Dong-Eui University in the women's division, while Dong-Eui University coach Park Moon-su received the Best Coach Award.

The men's kabaddi club of Dong-Eui University's Department of Physical Education has also won consecutive championships in the previous five national tournaments.
