Gangwon, Gyeongbuk, and Ulsan Research Institutes Discuss Success Strategies in Economy, Tourism, and Policy
[Asia Economy Reporter La Youngcheol] The Gangwon, Daegu, and Ulsan Research Institutes are joining forces to explore various development directions for the East Coast region's economy, tourism, and policies in the With-Corona era.
According to Gangwon Province on the 7th, the East Coast Development Forum (Gangwon Research Institute, Daegu Gyeongbuk Research Institute, Ulsan Research Institute) will hold an online forum under the theme "Exploring Development Plans for the East Coast Region in the With-Corona Era."
Professor Jeong Byeong-ung of Soonchunhyang University, former president of the Korean Tourism Association, will deliver the keynote speech on "Development Plans for the East Coast Region in the With-Corona Era." The first topic will discuss "Strengthening the Competitiveness of the East Coast Region through the Gangwon-Gyeongbuk Super-Regional Cooperation Project."
The second topic will cover "Enhancing the Added Value of Marine Resources through the Discovery of Specialized Marine Healthcare," and the third topic will involve in-depth discussions by related experts and officials from the three cities and provinces on "The Potential and Future of the East Coast Region from the Perspective of the Healing Industry."
Choi Seung-geuk, Director of Balanced Development at Gangwon Province, said, "I hope that the directions the East Coast region should take in the With-Corona era and the various proposed successful strategies will be concretely realized and become a true guide for the development of the East Coast."
Meanwhile, the East Coast Development Forum was established in 2007 by agreement of the East Coast cities and provincial governors' council. The research institutes of the three cities and provinces (Gangwon, Gyeongbuk, Ulsan) collaborate on policy development and advisory for the East Coast region's development, marking its 13th year this year.
