[Box Office] 'Yuche Italja' Tops Weekend for 2 Consecutive Weeks, 'Encanto' Ranks 2nd


[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The action thriller starring Yoon Kye-sang, "Body Swap," maintained its top position at the weekend box office.


According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system, "Body Swap" attracted 132,639 viewers over the three-day weekend (March 3-5), securing the number one spot at the box office. Since its release on February 24, the film's cumulative audience has reached 626,482.


"Body Swap," a chase action film about a man who wakes up in a different person's body every 12 hours without his memory and fights desperately to find his true self who has become everyone's target, held the top spot at the box office during its second weekend and has been number one for 12 consecutive days. The film plans to continue engaging audiences with theater events during its third week.


In second place was Disney's animated film "Encanto," which drew 107,795 viewers. Released on the same day as "Body Swap," it has accumulated 437,902 viewers.


The romance film "Love Without Romance," starring Jeon Jong-seo and Son Seok-gu, attracted 105,239 viewers and ranked third. Fourth place went to "Ghostbusters: Afterlife," released on the 1st. The sci-fi blockbuster "Dune" took fifth place.


Additionally, the foreign film "Last Night in Soho" ranked seventh, and the animated film "Taeil-i" came in eighth.


The total number of moviegoers this weekend was 569,952.
