Emart Instant Cooking Store 'Kitchen Deli' Surpasses 100 Branches by Year-End

Rebranding Existing Deli Stores with Enhanced Interior and Products
Year-End Home Party Promotion Targeting Demand for BBQ Plates and Cakes

Emart Instant Cooking Store 'Kitchen Deli' Surpasses 100 Branches by Year-End

[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Emart announced on the 5th that its instant cooking store "Kitchen Deli," which was first introduced last year starting with the Wolgye branch, has now expanded to 97 locations and is expected to surpass 100 stores by the end of this year.

Emart has been rebranding its existing deli stores into Kitchen Deli, unifying the stores with a luxurious interior using yellow and black colors, and completely replacing outdated display shelves, lighting, and cases to enhance product freshness and hygiene. Additionally, they have continuously introduced new products that align with trends, such as aged sushi, unique premium sushi, poke salad, and banh mi sandwiches, thereby increasing product competitiveness.

Thanks to these efforts, Emart's total instant cooking store sales have increased by 18% compared to the same period last year through November, and especially, the average sales growth rate of the renewed Kitchen Deli stores is approaching 24%, exceeding the overall growth rate.

Starting from the 9th, for grilled and fried products sold at Kitchen Deli, they will provide easy cooking method videos in the form of QR code stickers that show the best way to enjoy each product. For example, the Dakgangjeong (sweet crispy fried chicken) product’s recipe video recommends heating in an air fryer at 170 degrees Celsius for 2 minutes or microwaving for 30 seconds, and for thick smoked chicken legs, heating in an air fryer at 170 degrees Celsius for 7 minutes or microwaving for about 4 minutes is the best way to enjoy them.

Targeting Christmas and year-end home party demand, they are holding a 'Christmas Special Exhibition' and selling winter season limited foods. The 'Christmas BBQ Plate,' which contains enough portions for 3 to 4 people, including smoked pork belly, BBQ whole chicken ribs, buffalo wing drumettes, butter rolls, and garlic dipping sauce, is offered at 24,800 KRW.

The "Kitchen Deli Snowflake Dakgangjeong," which is crispy fried domestic chicken coated with cheese seasoning and topped with Parmesan cheese powder piled like snow, is priced at 13,980 KRW. The "Snowflake Coconut Cheese Jokbal," which is BBQ pig’s trotters topped with 100% coconut meat and Parmesan cheese, is 19,800 KRW. Christmas bakery products such as the "Christmas Strawberry Cake (18,900 KRW)" and the "Colorful Donuts (6 pieces)" in three flavors?snowman, Rudolph, and snowflake?are sold as limited seasonal items until the 25th.
