'Barrier-Free Subway Stations'... Hanam City Hall Station and Hanam Geomdansan Station Achieve 'BF' Certification Hanam Line Double-Track Railway Route Map [Gyeonggi-do]

[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] The Hanam City Hall Station and Hanam Geomdansan Station on the second phase of the Hanam Line, directly constructed by Gyeonggi Province, recently received the 'Barrier Free (BF) Certification' from the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).

The 'Barrier Free Certification System' is a system where certification agencies evaluate whether facilities are planned, designed, constructed, and managed to ensure that people with disabilities, the elderly, pregnant women, and others can use various facilities without inconvenience.

Hanam City Hall Station and Hanam Geomdansan Station are railway facilities that incorporated the barrier-free design concept from the design stage, reflecting features such as ▲level boarding sections without steps ▲anti-slip facilities on stairs ▲restrooms exclusively for the disabled ▲secured wheelchair movement space ▲installation of tactile guide maps.

Hanam City Hall Station met over 90 points out of a perfect score of 100 in evaluation categories including intermediary facilities, internal facilities, sanitary facilities, and guidance facilities, earning the BF certification 'Excellent' grade, while Hanam Geomdansan Station scored over 80 points, receiving the 'Good' grade.

As a result, all four stations in the Gyeonggi section of the Hanam Line have now received BF certification. Previously, Misa Station and Hanam Pungsan Station on the first phase of the Hanam Line obtained the 'B' certification last year.

In addition to the Hanam Line, the Byeollae Line and Dobongsan·Okjeong Lines have also obtained preliminary certification, and related matters will be reflected in construction to obtain full certification in the future.

The Hanam Line, the first metropolitan railway project led by Gyeonggi Province, is a subway line connecting a total of 7.7 km from Sangil-dong Station in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, the terminus of Line 5, to Hanam Geomdansan Station in Changwoo-dong, Hanam City, and opened in March this year. Among these, the Gyeonggi section includes four stations: Misa Station, Hanam Pungsan Station, Hanam City Hall Station, and Hanam Geomdansan Station.
