Prosecutors Summarily Indict Comedian Seolm Yong-geun for Drunk Driving at License Revocation Level

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Comedian Seol Myeong-geun (35), who caused a drunk driving accident, has been summarily indicted.


According to the legal community on the 23rd, the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office summarily indicted Mr. Seol on the 19th for drunk driving with a fine of 8 million won.


On the 7th of last month, at around 12:39 PM, Mr. Seol was driving under the influence near Gangdong Station in Gangdong-gu when he collided with rebar at a road median construction site. At that time, his blood alcohol concentration was confirmed to be at the license cancellation level (0.1% or higher).


Mr. Seol appeared on tvN's 'Comedy Big League,' and after the drunk driving incident became known, he set his social media service (SNS) accounts to private and blocked comments on his YouTube videos.
