[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] North Korea is holding the '3 Major Revolutions Pioneer Conference' on ideological, technological, and cultural revolutions in Pyongyang. This is the second time it has been held since General Secretary Kim Jong-un came to power.

Korean Central News Agency reported on the 15th, "The 5th 3 Major Revolutions Pioneer Conference will be held in Pyongyang," and "participants including the vanguards and members of the 3 Major Revolutions arrived in Pyongyang on the 14th." The exact date of the event was not specified, but it is expected to take place around this time.

Party secretaries Oh Su-yong and Tae Hyung-chul, along with department heads Oh Il-jung, Huh Cheol-man, and Yoo Jin, visited the participants' accommodations to congratulate them. The agency stated, "The cadres deeply engraved the Party Central Committee's intention to fully enhance the power of the 3 Major Revolutions and achieve balanced and simultaneous development across all sectors, units, and regions, urging the participants to continue to shine with the honor of being pioneers."

The 3 Major Revolutions Pioneer Conference was previously held four times under the name '3 Major Revolutions Red Flag Acquisition Movement Pioneer Conference' in November 1986, November 1995, February 2006, and November 2015. This is the second time it has been held since General Secretary Kim took office.
