Geochang-gun Allows PCR Testing Until 10 PM on the Night Before the College Entrance Exam

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 11th that it will extend the operation of the COVID-19 screening clinic at the county health center until 10 PM on the 17th, the day before the college entrance exam (CSAT), for test takers.

On that day, Geochang-gun will prioritize collecting specimens from CSAT examinees and transport them to the Gyeongnam Provincial Institute of Health and Environment every 2 to 3 hours depending on the specimen collection status, to promptly confirm test results and notify the individuals.

In case of confirmed cases among CSAT applicants, arrangements will be made to allocate hospital beds at designated hospitals and residential treatment centers so that confirmed patients can also take the exam.

County Governor Goo In-mo said, "We ask residents to refrain from gatherings, events, and external contacts as much as possible until the CSAT and to comply with quarantine guidelines so that examinees can prepare for the exam in a safe environment."
