[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] Delivery Hero Korea, the operator of the delivery application (app) Yogiyo, announced on the 29th that it has been acquired by Combined Delivery Platform Investment (CDPI), a consortium consisting of Affinity Equity Partners, Permira, and GS Retail.
The CDPI consortium decided to acquire Yogiyo in August this year. With the completion of the sale transaction, Delivery Hero Korea will change its company name to 'Widaehan Sangsang.' The company stated its intention to transform into a local commerce platform together with the new shareholders.
The new name, Widaehan Sangsang, reflects the company's commitment to creating a customer-centric platform that pioneers new areas in the commerce market. It also signifies the realization of various imaginations to provide customers with amazing experiences and offer services with infinite possibilities that connect technology and people.
Kang Shinbong, CEO of Widaehan Sangsang, said, "From now on, Yogiyo will grow into a commerce platform that is closest to customers through technology and innovation," adding, "Please look forward to Yogiyo's future, which will make customers' lives more convenient and prosperous."
