[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Gyeongsang National University announced on the 28th that the Asia Dance Culture Research Institute will broadcast '2021 Meeting Asia Through Dance' on YouTube on November 3rd as part of cultural exchange between Korea and Mongolia.


Started in 2010, 'Meeting Asia Through Dance' is an event that invites ethnic dance performers from various Asian countries to showcase diverse traditional dances from each country.


This year's performance features Korean dances such as Taepyeongmu Yeonga, Joheungdong-ryu Jinswe Dance, 'Janggo's Charm,' and 'Sogo's Excitement.' Mongolian dances include Mandchilge, Mongol Bsu-gwi, Jalmhar, and Altai Maktal. The video recorded at Jinju Hyunjang Art Hall will be broadcast on YouTube starting November 3rd.


Professor Kim Misook, who leads the Asia Dance Culture Research Institute, said, "The continuous artistic exchange between Korea and Mongolia holds great significance culturally, academically, and artistically, along with forming an aesthetic consensus between the two countries," adding, "Through this dance performance, we aim to present healing and harmony overcoming the COVID-19 crisis."
