According to Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) on the 26th, the fourth piano solo recital of "Great Musicians' Letters Read by a Pianist," delivered by Professor Kim Jeong-ah of the Department of Music, will be held at 7:30 PM on the 1st of next month at Kumho Art Hall, Youth Square Culture Center, Seo-gu, Gwangju.
Professor Kim Jeong-ah held a concert for children titled "Listening to Fairy Tales with Piano and Commentary" in 2010, and since 2018, she has been conducting recital concerts combining writings and music through "Great Musicians' Letters Read by a Pianist."
In the first recital concert, Professor Kim Jeong-ah conveyed the emotions faced by musicians through letters and writings left by Beethoven, captivating the audience with stories of Schubert in the second and Brahms in the third concerts.
In this concert, Mozart's piano sonatas, fantasies, rondos, adagios, and Lacrimosa (Liszt arrangement) from the Requiem will be performed. For inquiries, please contact by phone.
Meanwhile, Professor Kim Jeong-ah of Gwangju University's Department of Music, who is leading the expansion of classical music through various performance contents, is currently serving as the president of the Honam-Jeju branch of the Korean Piano Society, a member of the Gwangju Piano Academy, a director of the Korean Dalcroze Society, a member of the Gwangju Piano Duo Association, and a member of the Musikbaum Contemporary Ensemble.
