Raised 10 Million Won in Donations Delivered to Childcare Centers in Gyeongbuk Region

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] KTB Financial Group held an event where all employees walked together and raised donations to deliver to an orphanage.
KTB Financial Group announced on the 13th that it had donated 10 million KRW raised through the 'KTB Employee Walking Challenge' event to Shinmang Orphanage in Mungyeong, Gyeongbuk.
The event, which started in July, set a target number of steps (100 million steps), and upon achieving the goal, the company raised donations to give back to society. As of last month, a total of 325,074,889 steps were accumulated, exceeding the target by three times. Converted to distance, it amounts to approximately 227,552 kilometers.
Choi Seok-jong, Vice Chairman of KTB Investment & Securities and Chair of the group's ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Committee, handed over the raised donation to Hwang Young-bae, Director of Shinmang Orphanage, and discussed future volunteer activities and support plans.
A KTB Financial Group official said, "This was a meaningful event combining health promotion and sharing through non-face-to-face social contribution activities amid the COVID-19 situation," adding, "We are pleased to convey the hearts of the group’s employees to places in need of help."
