Gosin University Gospel Hospital Signs 'Education, Medical Care, and Tourism' Agreement with Busan Tourism High School and Songdo Middle School

Partnering with Baekmin Academy Founded by Teacher Kim Heonam to Open Dreams for Youth in Seo-gu, Busan

Gosin University Gospel Hospital Signs 'Education, Medical Care, and Tourism' Agreement with Busan Tourism High School and Songdo Middle School Gosin University Gospel Hospital, Busan Tourism High School, and Songdo Middle School under the Baekmin Academy Foundation signed a business agreement on the 6th to designate educational support and medical services.

On the 9th, Kosin University Gospel Hospital announced that it signed a business agreement on the 6th with Busan Tourism High School and Songdo Middle School, operated by the Baekmin Hakwon school foundation, to support education and designate medical care.


Kosin University Gospel Hospital and Baekmin Hakwon held a signing ceremony at the Busan Tourism High School Convention Center and agreed on four key points: ▲ fostering excellent talent and supporting education ▲ contributing to the local community through volunteer activities ▲ providing medical support for the health improvement of faculty and students ▲ and other cooperation between the institutions.


Choi Seong-hoon, principal of Songdo Middle School, said, “I hope this will be an opportunity for mutual development through continuous trust among the institutions.”


Hwang Ho-geun, principal of Busan Tourism High School, stated, “We will focus on ensuring that students develop both competence and character through active field training opportunities.”


Baekmin Hakwon is a school foundation established by the late Kim Heo-nam last year. While attending Seoul National University, Kim also served as a youth secretary to Baekbeom Kim Gu.


Born in 1920 in Myeongcheon, Hambuk, Kim Heo-nam was an educator who practiced a philosophy of loving and living together with the people.


During the Korean War evacuation, Kim settled in Songdo, Busan, as a teacher at Hanyang University-affiliated high school, founded Baekmin Hakwon, and devoted himself to educational projects.


Kosin University Gospel Hospital and Baekmin Hakwon have been conducting medical, research, and educational projects in Seo-gu, Busan, from the Korean War period to the present.


Hospital Director Oh Kyung-seung said, “Through this agreement, we will faithfully carry out the wishes of Dr. Jang Gi-ryeo Seongsan and Mr. Kim Heo-nam Dongho by strengthening medical, educational, and welfare support in the region so that everyone can become one with the community.”
