[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Productivity Center (Chairman An Wanki, hereinafter KPC) announced on the 5th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Chairman Kim Ki-moon) to strengthen the response of small and medium enterprises to carbon neutrality and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).

Both organizations agreed to mutually cooperate in areas such as education, consulting, information provision, and research to support small and medium enterprises in carbon neutrality and ESG response. KPC is currently developing an ESG online free education program for small and medium enterprises in collaboration with the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, scheduled to be serviced within this year. They also plan to expand knowledge sharing and joint research to enhance ESG capabilities. Additionally, KPC plans to support the strengthening of small and medium enterprises' ESG evaluation response capabilities by developing a customized ESG consulting model and providing related services.

KPC has recently been strengthening its ESG dissemination and expansion functions by planning and hosting 'ESG Industry and Public Institution Workshops' to support ESG responses of small, medium, and mid-sized enterprises and public institutions. On the 30th of last month, the Korea Technopark Promotion Agency ESG workshop was held, and workshops for the steel and cosmetics industries are scheduled in the future.
