"Light Diet After the Holidays" Gmarket Launches 'I'm Dak Brand Week'

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Gmarket announced on the 27th that it will hold the 'I'm Dak Brand Week' promotion until the 3rd of next month. The event was prepared in response to the increased demand for dieting after the Chuseok holiday, offering discounted prices on chicken breast, diet sausages, fried rice, lunch boxes, and low-calorie snacks.

Gmarket members can receive a '15% discount coupon' up to 10,000 KRW off on purchases over 20,000 KRW, issued three times daily. Premium membership Smile Club members are additionally provided with a '17% discount coupon.'

I'm Dak's popular product, 'Delicious Chicken Breast Corn Skewers (1+1+1),' is sold exclusively on Gmarket at a special price of 2,900 KRW. This means customers get three pieces for the price of one. Other discounted items include 'Bite-sized Steamed Chicken Breast (6 types, 20 packs),' 'Delicious Chicken Breast Konjac Fried Rice (6 types, 18 packs),' and 'Domestic Plum-aged Chicken Breast Jerky (20 packs).'

All customers who purchase over 30,000 KRW will receive 'Chicken Breast Konjac Japchae Dumplings' as a gift, and among customers who purchase during the event period, 100 will be selected by lottery to receive an insulated bag. Every day at 10 a.m., 100 units of 'Double Steak Buldak,' a collaboration product between I'm Dak and Samyang, will be sold for 100 KRW with free shipping. The regular 'Buldak Sauce' and 'Carbo Buldak Sauce' will be alternately provided depending on the day of the week.

Meanwhile, a review of diet-related product sales growth on Gmarket for one day on September 23, immediately after the holiday, showed an increase of more than four times compared to the same day the previous week. Chicken breast products showed the highest growth rate at 305%, salads increased by 213%, diet bars and diet shakes rose by 229% and 236% respectively, all more than tripling in sales volume. During the same period, konjac sales increased by 175%, and health supplements by 229%.
