The 9th Expo Scheduled to be Held at ICC Jeju from May 3 to 6 Next Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] The Organizing Committee of the International Electric Vehicle Expo announced on the 12th that the 8th International Electric Vehicle Expo, held simultaneously at Jeju International Convention Center (ICC Jeju) and online from the 7th to the 10th, successfully concluded.
This expo featured a variety of programs including B2B business meetings and PR shows that connect the development of the e-mobility industry to tangible business outcomes for companies, as well as exhibitions, conferences, and test drive experiences.
The committee evaluated that this expo solidified its status in terms of B2B and business aspects. The 'B2B Lounge' set up on the 3rd floor of ICC Jeju expanded in scale as the number of companies applying to participate in B2B meetings tripled compared to last year. According to the committee, over 200 companies conducted approximately 700 substantial meetings during the three days the B2B Lounge was in operation.
In particular, reflecting the electrification trend expanding from automobiles to ships, a conference themed on ships was held, along with a roundtable discussing various issues related to Urban Air Mobility (UAM), the flying e-mobility attracting attention, with global experts, drawing significant interest.
Co-chairman Kim Dae-hwan said, "Our expo’s strength lies in sharing a new paradigm of the e-mobility industry and healing with over 10,000 global opinion leaders at Jeju, a world-class MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination," adding, "This year’s expo was successfully held in that regard."
He also emphasized, "This year, we ambitiously prepared the UAM and eco-friendly electric ship sectors to integrate the rapidly expanding e-mobility industry ecosystem, which received a positive response. Above all, we conducted B2B meetings and PR shows thoroughly to ensure companies could achieve tangible business results."
Meanwhile, the committee decided to hold the 9th expo next year from May 3 to 6 at ICC Jeju and online. Chairman Kim stated, "We will make every effort to prepare the 9th expo to serve as a platform leading the rapid evolution of the e-mobility industry."
