Caught Speeding, Turns Out to Be an Illegal Immigrant... Even Has a Hit-and-Run Record

According to the police on the 24th, Hyehwa Police Station in Seoul arrested and is investigating A (24), an illegal immigrant of Kazakh nationality, on charges of unlicensed driving and violation of the Automobile Damage Compensation Guarantee Act.

On the 21st at around 5:20 p.m., A was speeding on a road in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Despite the police's request to stop, he fled about 200 meters before being caught. The investigation revealed that A, an illegal immigrant, was driving without a license and without insurance. Police investigation also found that he was a wanted person with an arrest warrant issued for hit-and-run (hit-and-run injury under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes).

In A's vehicle were B (21) and C (28), who are of the same nationality and were also confirmed to be illegal immigrants. The police handed them over to the immigration office on charges of violating the Immigration Control Act.
