Lotte Hi-Mart Operates Experience Center for Innovative Products Exhibited at 2021 MWC

Lotte Hi-Mart will operate the "2nd Innovative Product Experience Center" from the 7th to the 20th.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Hi-Mart announced on the 5th that it will operate the "2nd Innovative Product Experience Center," where customers can experience domestic small and startup products exhibited at the 2021 Mobile World Congress (MWC), from the 7th to the 20th.

This experience center will be set up inside the Lotte Hi-Mart World Tower store located in Songpa-gu, Seoul, covering an area of 96㎡ (approximately 30 pyeong). It will display 14 products from 10 companies that participated in the KOTRA "Integrated Korea Pavilion" at MWC.

Lotte Hi-Mart organized this event to provide opportunities for domestic excellent small and startup companies to expand their sales channels. In June, Lotte Hi-Mart recruited companies interested in participating in the experience center from among 64 companies that participated in the 2021 MWC. Selection criteria such as product technology and demonstration feasibility were used to conduct document and physical evaluations, ultimately selecting 14 products from 10 companies. During the event, the companies showcasing their products at the experience center plan to discuss entry into Lotte Hi-Mart stores.

In zones such as the Pet Zone and Kids Zone, visitors can directly experience various innovative products. A representative product is Littlecat's "IOT-based LED Smart Cat Wheel." It supports systematic health management by graphing the distance the cat actually exercised, body mass, and calories burned on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. The Kids Zone features educational robots from Genie Robot and AR/VR-based educational books and products from Victoria Production.

A Lotte Hi-Mart official stated, "Going forward, Lotte Hi-Mart will continue to collaborate with KOTRA to consistently provide opportunities for domestic small and startup companies with excellent technological capabilities to easily reach consumers."
