[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) has been conducting the third phase of the "Good Consumption" campaign since the 30th of last month, in response to the escalation of social distancing measures due to the spread of COVID-19, to support small business owners struggling with the economic downturn.


Residents who present receipts showing expenditures of 50,000 won or more at traditional markets, restaurants, and other local businesses can receive daily necessities at their local community service centers.

Ipureun International Donates 200 Fans to Gangnam-gu


Gangnam-gu (Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) delivered 200 fans sponsored by Ipureun International (CEO Lee Tae-yeol) to medical staff at COVID-19 quarantine sites on the 3rd.


The handover ceremony held at Gangnam-gu Office was attended by Welfare and Life Director Lee Ho-hyun, Welfare Policy Manager Jang Jeong-eun, and Ipureun International representatives Kim So-yeon and Lee Sang-gyun.

Seongbuk-gu Supports Heatwave Prevention Circulators at Cooling Centers


Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) provided heatwave prevention circulators to 101 cooling centers in the district. This measure was taken to prevent heat-related illnesses and ensure a healthy summer amid the ongoing heatwave.


On the 2nd, Seongbuk-gu Mayor Lee Seung-ro visited the Wolgok 1-dong Senior Citizens' Center cooling center and explained how to operate the circulators, urging, "Let’s thoroughly follow quarantine rules and coolly overcome COVID-19."

Dongdaemun-gu Tongjang Association Donates 1 Million Won for COVID-19 Overcoming Fund


Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) announced that the "Dongdaemun-gu Tongjang Association" (Chairman Kim Hak-su), which volunteers for residents on the front lines, visited Dongdaemun-gu Office at 10:30 a.m. on the 3rd and donated 1 million won as a warm-hearted contribution to help overcome the recent resurgence of COVID-19.


Kim Hak-su, Chairman of the Tongjang Association, said, "I hope COVID-19 stabilizes as soon as possible during these difficult and challenging times."


Yoo Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you for giving hope to overcome COVID-19 during these tough times," and added, "Our district will also do its best to overcome COVID-19 early."

Yongsan Welfare Foundation Delivers Cooling Supplies to 200 Vulnerable Households


Yongsan Welfare Foundation (Chairman Lee Sang-yong) delivered cooling supply kits to 200 vulnerable households in the area on the 3rd.


This is to support residents in having a cool summer. The kits include cooling mats, pillows, parasols, samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), and vitamins. The foundation plans to continue providing medical expenses and emergency living expenses to prevent and treat heat-related illnesses among residents.


Lee Sang-yong, Chairman of Yongsan Welfare Foundation, said, "Last month, we distributed 50 fans and 1,100 cooling garments (rayon tops) to residents," adding, "The foundation will actively support residents to overcome the heat and have a healthy summer."
