- Reinterpreting Vietnamese Grilled Meat Vermicelli Bun Cha with Plant-Based Meat
- Light Salad with Sweet and Sour Sauce to Refresh Appetite in Hot Summer
SPC Samlip's Grab & Go brand Citideli has launched a new product, the "UNLIMEAT BUN CHA SALAD," in collaboration with UNLIMEAT, a domestic leader in alternative meat, using plant-based meat.
Bun cha is a dish where charcoal-grilled pork, vermicelli rice noodles, and vegetables are dipped in a sweet and sour sauce made with fish sauce, lime juice, and sugar.
The newly released "UNLIMEAT BUN CHA SALAD" replaces meat with chewy-textured "UNLIMEAT slices" and includes a variety of ingredients such as vermicelli rice noodles, pickled cucumber, cilantro, carrot pickles, pineapple, and red cabbage all in one bowl. It is flavored with Citideli’s special sauce that blends sour, sweet, and salty tastes, making it perfect to refresh your appetite during the ongoing hot season.
The UNLIMEAT slices used in the salad are made from 100% plant-based protein containing superfoods like chickpeas, lentils, and quinoa, replicating the chewy texture of meat and pairing well with various vegetables. Since it contains no trans fats or cholesterol, it can be enjoyed without worry by those who want to maintain nutrition or are on a diet.
Citideli is a new type of store combining the advantages of casual restaurants and convenience stores, offering around 50 deli menu items such as fried rice, rice bowls, noodles, sandwiches, and salads, along with a variety of snacks, beverages, and desserts from around the world. The deli menu is prepared fresh daily in-store and sold in a Grab & Go format, allowing customers to conveniently purchase and enjoy their meals.
An UNLIMEAT representative said, “As interest in alternative meat continues to grow, we are very pleased to introduce a new menu that captures both taste and nutrition in collaboration with Citideli. Eating plant-based meat alone can contribute to carbon reduction. We will continue to develop delicious recipes that reflect customer needs and actively engage in various activities to protect the planet.”
This new product is available at Citideli Gwanghwamun branch, and to celebrate the launch, various events will be held through the UNLIMEAT and Citideli websites and social media channels.
