Gwangju Veterans Affairs Office Operates 'Independence, Patriotism, and Democracy Exploration Life' in Collaboration with Local Libraries

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Director Im Jong-bae) announced on the 12th that it will operate the "Gwangju Independence, National Defense, and Democracy Exploration Life" program linked with local public libraries until the 23rd of next month.

The Gwangju Independence, National Defense, and Democracy Exploration Life program is held at experience zones within eight local children's libraries: ▲ Gwangju Independence Movement Memorial Hall ▲ National Asia Culture Center ▲ Unnam Children's Library ▲ Songjeong Library ▲ Mudeung Library ▲ Seo-gu Children's Ecology Learning Library ▲ Gwangju Student Education and Culture Center ▲ Seokbong Library.

The program involves children reading the comic book "Paper Flower, I Will Remember," which tells the story of a child learning history through time travel experiences of the Student Independence Movement, the Korean War, and the May 18 Democratic Movement. Participants can take photos with the main character and join an online quiz event.

An online quiz event is also held. Participants can join via a QR code, and through a draw, 200 participants will receive a 10,000 KRW mobile gift certificate, while 50 perfect scorers will each receive a 20,000 KRW gift certificate.
