According to Gyeongju City on the 25th, a woman in her 60s, Ms. A, living in Oedong-eup, Gyeongju, who received the AZ vaccine at a commissioned medical institution in Ulsan City on the 19th, was found collapsed at home on the 24th and was transported to the hospital but passed away.
The woman reportedly experienced symptoms such as dizziness and headache around the 20th, the day after vaccination, but was known to have worked at the restaurant where she was employed.
Health authorities are investigating whether there is a causal relationship between the vaccination and the death.
Since the start of COVID-19 vaccinations in Gyeongbuk on February 26, suspected cases of anaphylaxis have been reported 14 times, major adverse reactions such as cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage 28 times, and mild suspected reports 4,787 times.
Suspected death reports by vaccine type totaled 44, including 23 for Pfizer and 21 for AstraZeneca (AZ).
