On the 15th, a business agreement was signed with local company TableManager to support small and medium-sized food service businesses... Support for integrated reservation system fees and reservation commissions, and meal voucher discounts through vacancy prediction system
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) signed an agreement with local company Table Manager on the 15th to enable local dining businesses to use an online reservation system.
Through this agreement, the district plans to officially introduce the Table Manager dining industry’s ‘Integrated Online Reservation System,’ allowing approximately 3,500 dining establishments in Seongdong-gu to easily and conveniently receive user reservations.
Most restaurant users currently make reservations by phone or through major portal sites. With the introduction of the ‘Integrated Online Reservation System,’ dining businesses will be able to view reservation details in one place, reducing the effort of checking each site individually.
The reservation system will incur a usage fee of up to 50,000 KRW per month per business, but Table Manager has agreed to provide it free of charge for six months.
Additionally, reservations can be made through a KakaoTalk chatbot reservation system, and events for each business will be promoted together. The commission fees generated from this will be waived by Table Manager until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In particular, the reservation system provides information such as preferred menu, allergies, and previous reservation history when customers make reservations. It automatically sends real-time reservation confirmation messages to customers, enabling dining businesses to manage their stores efficiently. Based on AI technology, it can predict users, allowing discounts for empty tables and the sale of meal vouchers.
Seongdong-gu expects that through this agreement, dining businesses will secure more customers by using an efficient reservation system, thereby increasing sales for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Moreover, this agreement is noteworthy as it promotes ‘win-win’ cooperation between Seongdong-gu and local companies. Table Manager is currently an IT company located in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, operating an online reservation service business through real-time databases of dining businesses and supporting restaurant sales with ‘reservation vouchers’ that discount only empty seats.
Starting with this agreement, the district plans to build a continuous cooperative system with Table Manager through detailed consultations to ensure smooth introduction and operation of the ‘Integrated Online Reservation System,’ aiming for implementation from July.
The integrated online reservation system uses a simple online consent system and QR codes without paper documents, allowing any desired business to easily use it.
Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, “This agreement will reduce sales losses for small business owners and support the growth of local companies, becoming a model case of mutual growth between businesses and the local community. We will continue to devise various methods to restore the self-sustainability of small business owners and revitalize the area.”
