Who Is the Top Artisan in Gyeongnam Province's Industrial Sites? ... Annual Incentive of 1 Million Won Provided

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 17th that it will select the '2021 Master Craftsman' for technicians with the highest level of skilled technology in the local industrial field.


The master craftsmen will be selected from within 5 people among 98 occupations in 37 fields. Candidate applications will be accepted from the 21st to July 16th.


Eligibility requirements include direct workers in industrial sites within the province, those with more than 15 years of experience in the industrial field, outstanding performers, and those with excellent achievements in industrialization and modernization (craft field).


Applicants wishing to apply must submit an application form to the Gyeongnam-do Labor Policy Division or the city/county labor-management cooperation department with recommendations from the mayor/governor, representatives of workplaces in the province, or heads of industry associations at the provincial level.


For submission documents, refer to the forms included in the related announcement under 'Provincial News - Notices' on the Gyeongnam-do website.


The master craftsmen will be reviewed starting in September and the final decision will be made in October.


Selected master craftsmen will receive a certificate and a plaque, along with an incentive payment totaling 5 million won over 5 years, 1 million won annually. They will also be given opportunities to visit domestic industrial sites.


Meanwhile, since 2007, a total of 66 people have been selected as master craftsmen in the province, engaging in various activities such as technical support for small and medium-sized enterprises and career guidance education for middle and high school students in each field.
