[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 15th, Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced that it will support up to 300,000 KRW for the purchase of takeout containers at 500 restaurants within the city.
This project aims to alleviate the financial burden on small business owners who have been severely affected by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to help revitalize the local commercial district.
The eligible restaurants are those with sales of 100 million KRW or less in 2020 (including casual dining restaurants), whose representative's address and business location are in Miryang. Applicants must bring receipts for the purchase of takeout containers and apply at the Job and Economy Division of the City Hall.
Mayor Park Il-ho said, "I hope this project will help stabilize the management of restaurants severely affected by business restrictions," and added, "We will do our best to ensure the local economy stabilizes quickly."
