Changwon City Selected for the '2021 Regional Lifestyle Culture Activation Support Pilot Project'

'Again, in the Village' with Participation of 13 Lifestyle Culture Entities, 230 Million Won National Funding Supported

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 3rd that Seongho Life Culture Center has been selected for the '2021 Regional Life Culture Activation Support Pilot Project,' expanding opportunities for enjoying culture in daily life through discovering life culture entities and forming networks.

This project targets public or private organizations and facilities recommended by basic local governments.

It is a project that supports the activation of regional life culture based on cooperation among various life culture entities, activities, and spaces.

As a result of 28 organizations applying, a total of five regions including Changwon City were selected, and the entire project budget of 230 million KRW will be fully supported by national funds to be carried out until the end of the year.

In this project, Changwon City collaborates with a total of 13 various resident organizations, village cultural facilities, social enterprises, cooperatives, and the Changwon City Cultural City Support Center.

The Seongho Life Culture Center in Changwon City, the main organization of this project, is operated by the Gyeongnam Information Society Research Institute, a regional cultural community selected as the operator in November 2019.

Shim Jaeuk, Director of Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Changwon City, stated, "Through this project, residents will be able to easily enjoy culture in their daily lives by revitalizing life culture centers and life culture infrastructure," adding, "We will play a leading role in discovering and expanding various life cultures within the region."
