‘Siloam-ui Jip’ Haunted Experience Site Overwhelmed... Police Official Warns "Unauthorized Entry into Private Property May Result in Punishment"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] ‘Ghost play’ is enough now!
Recently, the ‘Shiloam House’ in Gijang-gun, Busan, which became controversial after internet broadcasting hosts (BJs) filmed haunted house experience content, has been suffering as a horror experience site, prompting the police to crack down.
Busan Gijang Police Station announced on the 28th that at around 12:30 a.m., they caught six people in their 20s, including A, who illegally trespassed into Shiloam House in Gijang-gun, Busan, and are investigating them on charges of nighttime trespassing.
A and others are suspected of illegally entering Shiloam House by splitting into one passenger car and two motorcycles.
Among those caught, one person was wanted on fraud charges, thus was arrested while ‘playing ghost’.
It was revealed that they visited this place to experience the haunted house for content creation on internet broadcasts.
Shiloam House is a welfare facility for people with severe disabilities operated by the Nehemiah Corporation, the successor of the Brothers Home, where from 1975 to 1987, innocent citizens were forcibly detained under the pretext of controlling vagrants, and human rights violations such as forced labor, assault, and murder were committed. The facility was closed in 2016.
Although privately owned and not directly related to the Brothers Home incident, it is known that related documents were stored there until recently.
This place has raised concerns about damage to materials due to BJs filming haunted house experience content.
The police are conducting focused patrols in the area due to frequent cases of illegal midnight trespassing for haunted house experiences.
A police official warned, “Unauthorized entry into private facilities can lead to punishment.”
