Complex Residential Sector - Daewoo E&C Prugio
Daewoo E&C's ‘Prugio’ has established itself as a national-level eco-friendly brand that represents a living cultural space where people can enjoy a healthy and happy life in harmony with nature. The award for the grand prize in the complex residential category was given in high regard for highlighting the intrinsic value of homes while designing innovative residential environments that reflect social trends.
Starting this year, to deliver impactful brand-centered messages, Daewoo E&C has held the product strategy presentation ‘Prugio Edition 2021,’ unveiling exterior design, interior strategies, and products that have garnered positive market responses.
This year, Daewoo E&C defined its interior and floor plan strategy concept as ‘Be Essential by Curation,’ which faithfully adheres to the essential basics while incorporating changes in residential trends. The company plans to introduce additional interior products that can be selectively applied according to project characteristics, building on Prugio’s strengths such as convenient premium appliances (built-in dishwashers, dryers, etc.), evolved hidden kitchens, large picture-frame windows, showroom-style dressing rooms, and built-in wardrobes.
In particular, to meet the growing consumer demand for terrace spaces highlighted by COVID-19, Daewoo E&C is introducing the ‘Green Life Terrace,’ a healing space filled with sunlight and breeze. Perfectly matching Prugio’s brand philosophy and product strategy, the ‘Green Life Terrace’ offers a small but perfect hobby space separated from the living room.
Reflecting the preferences of the 2030 generation who favor studio-type layouts, Daewoo E&C is also presenting the ‘fully open LDK (Living·Dining·Kitchen)’ and the ‘independent dressing room,’ which reflects the trend of preferring dressing rooms separated by user and function. Additionally, ‘Prugio Edition 2021’ announced new interior products embodying new lifestyles, such as ‘hotel-style bathrooms’ and ‘trend living items.’ The upcoming ‘Prugio Edition 2022,’ scheduled for next year, will expand its content scope with themes like smart homes and residential service products.
‘Sewoon Prugio Hericity,’ located in Inhyeon-dong 2-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul, recently completed its sales, with all housing types closing in the first priority subscription. The highest competition rate by housing type was for the 42㎡A unit (393.4 to 1), followed by 29㎡C (19.3 to 1), 24㎡C (16.5 to 1), 29㎡A (11.1 to 1), 24㎡A (7.9 to 1), and 28㎡A (7.6 to 1).
Meanwhile, Prugio was awarded the ‘Brand Prize (Korea Institute of Design Promotion Award)’ at the ‘Good Design Award,’ Korea’s most prestigious design ceremony, in 2019. Last year, it was recognized as a ‘Winner’ at the iF Design Award, one of the world’s top three design awards, further establishing itself as a representative apartment brand in Korea.
