[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] 'Chosun Palace Seoul Gangnam, a Luxury Collection Hotel (Chosun Palace)', the top-tier hotel brand of Chosun Hotel & Resort, officially opens on the 25th.

This hotel is the first Chosun Palace hotel developed as a top-tier independent brand by Chosun Hotel & Resort, inheriting over 100 years of heritage based on the original Chosun Hotel. Reflecting the characteristics of Seoul Gangnam, it is Korea's first hotel to form a soft brand partnership with Marriott International's luxury hotel brand 'The Luxury Collection', operating as the country's first Luxury Collection hotel.

Chosun Palace is located in the Centerfield West Tower in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at the heart of Teheran-ro. The design was entrusted to the emerging designer duo Humbert & Poyet, who designed it to fit the meaning of 'Palace', referring to a palace and the highest residential floors.

On the 3rd and 4th floors, three banquet halls including The Great Hall, which can accommodate up to 330 people at once, were created to utilize the landmark location in Gangnam. From the 24th to the 36th floor, the hotel consists of a grand reception, a total of 254 guest rooms, swimming pool and fitness facilities, and five gourmet collections.

Chosun Palace does not offer the typical 'room-only' products commonly found in the hotel industry. Instead, all guests can use the 'Grand Reception' service. Guests check in at the Grand Reception, a personalized service space that protects customer privacy, and enjoy simple breakfast along with time-based coffee and snack services. Currently, room rates start from 352,000 KRW based on the opening commemorative package available until August 31.

Chosun Palace developed its signature scent 'Lasting Impression' to be experienced from the lobby. The bedding uses the Andrea line, the top tier of the Italian luxury bedding brand 'The Luxury Collection Pr?te Bed & Bedding Set'. This is applied to all linens in guest rooms and bathrooms. The mattresses are from the 'The One' line of the Simmons Beautyrest collection, and the top-tier rooms, 'Chosun Masters Suite' and 'Chosun Grand Masters Suite', feature the 'Black' line. Amenities are from the niche perfume brand Byredo's 'Le Chemin' line. The hotel stated, "We specialize the in-room minibar as a private bar offering cocktail recipes to help provide diverse experiences for our guests."

Five gourmet collections are also prepared. Fine dining is composed of 'Eatanic Garden', which researches and reinterprets Korean seasonal ingredients, and 'The Great Hongyeon', a Chinese restaurant that inherits authenticity while differentiating itself. The buffet restaurant 'Constance' differentiates its menu and has developed a dedicated Sunday lunch product called 'Sunday Delight'. Guests can also enjoy '1914 Lounge & Bar' and 'Chosun Deli The Boutique'.

Meanwhile, throughout Chosun Palace, under the concept of The Golden Era of Contemporary Korea, over 400 pieces of domestic and international contemporary art can be found. In the welcome lobby, works such as Daniel Arsham's 'Blue Eroded Moses', Johan Creten's 'Glory', and Candida H?fer's 'B?hm Chapel' are on display. Works by leading Korean artists such as Kim Ji-won and Lee Jung-jin can also be encountered throughout the hotel.

Han Chaeyang, CEO of Chosun Hotel & Resort, said, "Chosun Palace is the top-tier hotel presented by Chosun Hotel & Resort, embodying the prestige of Chosun Hotel, which was a space for distinguished guests from Korea and around the world. It will be a hotel and brand where the highest level of hospitality can be experienced."
